We’ve all come across people who have extreme views on something. Whether it’s Politics, Religion, Finances, or the Environment, it seems there are those who lose their ability to look objectively at certain issues. I have a general way of looking at things. Being extreme in either direction is incorrect. There must be some form of balance. The very nature of my business is deeply involved with environmental issues. I’m confident that the great majority of people would agree with the “balanced” approach. With all the variety of people I talk to and the different articles I write, I find myself mostly focusing on the cost savings aspect of Alternative Energy. There is a simple explanation for this that the extreme environmental activist might not accept. To me, the benefits of Alternative or “Natural Resource” energy to the environment are obvious.
We can spend tremendous amounts of time debating the degree of benefits, the amount of carbon levels, green house gases, global warming etc… The one thing I think everyone would agree upon is Alternative Energy can’t hurt. Solar Panels and Wind Turbines do not contribute to any of these negatives listed above. I personally see no gain for me to spend time talking about the benefits of Alternative Energy on the environment, when I truly believe it is obvious there is some level of improvement. Therefore, I think the best way to increase the usage of these products, is to help educate the most people I can reach about the immediate and long term personal improvement they will see. There is no loser here. Everyone wins! So what we choose to focus our attention on is up to each one of us. At the end of the day Alternative Energy saves money, cleans up the environment, and gives you back some control over your energy costs. |
